This is one of the few yoga mats made in the U.S.A. The Hugger Mugger Tapas mat has been around for decades, and is the first to advertise a "sticky" surface. The original Tapas mat is a bit thin for the joints, so the Tapas Ultra increases the depth of the mat to 1/4 inch. Lightweight, and best for room-temperature and gentle yoga practices. Pair with a hot yoga towel (like this one) for sweaty practices.
